Health & Safety Protocols
Our providers have obtained the Safe Travel seal by The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), a recognition of their compliance with the health and safety guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to create a health policy for the tourism sector and to restore travelers’ confidence. The following measures are obligatory for each member involved in our Peru journeys: from you, the passenger, to our drivers and guides.
Prior to traveling, we will ask you to notify us of any pre-existing medical conditions. Social distancing of at least 1 meter (when possible), masks and a face protector (for flights and transportation) are mandatory, and we ask that you handle your luggage between transportation and properties.
Before and after tours, your temperature will be taken in order to ensure your well-being and that of those around you. In the case that your temperature is higher than 38℃ or any other symptoms of coronavirus, we will assist you in activiating the corresponding travel insurance, and you and your fellow travelers may be asked to quarantine for 14 days.
- Drivers & Guides
We will provide the necessary equipment—masks, microphones for communication, disinfecting agents—to our drivers and guides in order to ensure their health and yours. They will be responsible for communicating hygiene protocols, taking temperatures, carrying hand sanitizer and loading/unloading your luggage with gloves.
You can keep peace of mind knowing that all of our drivers and guides have passed COVID-19 tests and abide by government regulations and biosafety protocols.
All transfers between hotels and airports will be continue to be private services. Complying with government safety protocols, all modes of transportation (vans, boats) will be thoroughly disinfected during and after each service. Your vehicles will count with adequate ventilation, hand sanitizer and all passengers and staff will be required to use a mask throughout the ride.
Book Now, Travel Later
In agreeance with specialists in the tourism and health sectors, we highly suggest you wait until at least March 2021 to visit Peru. Not only do we believe the virus will be under control in the region by then, but this will allow travelers to visit the highland region at the end of the rainy season, an optimal time to visit places like Cusco and Machu Picchu.
As our guest, you can book a trip at any time without an immediate deposit. For most of our itineraries, a full payment will require 35 days prior to the trip. However, be assured that if your flight to Peru is canceled due to COVID-19, we will provide you with three options*:
- You can change your tour date.
- Receive a travel voucher with the amount you paid to apply to a future travel.
- Receive a refund from us.
*The options will be confirmed depending on our providers policies. We will do our best to give you 100% satisfaction.
